Key job responsibilities

- Design and implement software features and improvements across major portions of your team's systems, covering the full development lifecycle including scoping, design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations.

- Write high-quality, maintainable code and actively participate in code reviews, providing meaningful feedback to teammates and coaching others on engineering best practices.

- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional peers to understand business and customer needs, translating them into effective technical solutions that balance short-term and long-term requirements.

- Identify and resolve root causes of operational issues, driving permanent fixes and continuously improving your team's operational processes and system reliability.

- Evaluate new tools and approaches—including generative AI capabilities—to enhance productivity and solution quality, making recommendations to your team on adoption and integration.

A day in the life

You will start your day reviewing operational metrics and addressing any alerts from your services. From there, you might jump into a design discussion with teammates on an upcoming feature, then spend focused time writing and reviewing code. Afternoons could involve pairing with a newer engineer to walk through system architecture or troubleshooting a tricky production issue alongside your team.

You will regularly connect with product and engineering partners to align on priorities and ensure what you are building meets real customer needs.

Basic Qualifications

• - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• - Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
