Senior Mobile Engineer

As a Mobile Engineer, you’ll build services and shape software operational excellence at Cleva. You will work closely with the Cleva mobile team to build new experiences within the Cleva App. You will also help define mobile engineering best practices, architectural patterns, and processes that improve execution efficiency and code quality across the team. You will use Flutter/Dart and integrate with backend services to create delightful cross-platform experiences for our users.

• Develop and maintain high-quality Flutter applications for Android and iOS using Flutter.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver features that delight our users.
• Write unit, widget, and Maestro end-to-end tests to ensure code reliability and seamless user flows.
• Apply SOLID principles in day-to-day development to deliver robust and extensible code.
• Implement and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Fastlane for automated builds, testing, and deployment.
• Monitor app performance and optimize for speed, memory, and security.
• Participate in design and code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.

Minimum requirements

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements for the role. The nice-to-haves below are a bonus not a necessity.

• 4–5+ years of professional mobile development experience, with at least 3 years in Flutter/Dart
• Proven experience applying Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles in production apps.
• Strong grasp of Git, CI/CD pipelines (Codemagic, GitHub Actions, Fastlane).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and performance optimization.
• Ability and motivation to operate in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, and highly ambiguous environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly motivated self-starter with a strong bias for action
• Ability to operate at a high level and provide strategic direction, while also being able to get into the details to fully execute the strategy.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and foster an engineering culture

Nice-to-have qualifications

• Experience with Firebase performance and other performance monitoring tools.
• Experience working on apps with millions of users or in the fintech industry
• Basic knowledge of payments applications and how they operate from a technical perspective
