Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll build infrastructure, services, and shape software operational excellence at Cleva. You will also help to define the company’s technical strategy and processes to accelerate executional efficiency for engineers. You will use AWS technologies and languages like python and typescript to build.

• Define, and implement improvements to existing software infrastructure and build new ones.
• Engage confidently with senior management, providing strategic insights, ideas, and execution plans regarding the improvement of the company’s QAOps, TestOPs, and other software-related operations.
• Build and design software APIs.
• Improve software development processes.

Minimum requirements

We’re looking for someone that meets the minimum requirements for the role. The nice-to-haves below are a bonus not a necessity.

• 5+ years building highly available, customer-centric software.
• Ability and motivation to operate in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, and highly ambiguous environment.
• Strong technical skills in the MERN stack and experience building on AWS.
• Ability to foster technical conversations with software vendors and service providers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly motivated self-starter with a strong bias for action
• Ability to operate at a high level and provide strategic direction, while also being able to get into the details to fully execute the strategy
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and foster engineering culture
• Prior experience as a Senior Software Engineer or Engineering Lead

Nice-to-have qualifications

• Prior experience interfacing with external software vendors to design, plan and execute integrations.
• Prior experience working at a technology startup
• Basic knowledge of banking applications and how they operate from a technical perspective
